I'm Thankful For..
...my wedding planner! And I think my mom and dad are too :) Even better - she's not just my wedding planner, but a role model and friend to me for many years! Whenever I tell people I have a wedding planner I always mention that part too - because it just makes this even better!
First of all, she's planned a wedding, and countless parties before. Let me tell you, I thought I had my wedding all planned out, until Andrea came into the picture! I know my vision (on some things), but I don't know how/when/the best way/the cheapest way to make it happen! We've all exchanged many emails, pictures, and ideas between the three of us. We've gotten critiqued on those ideas, and sometimes brought back down to the reality of staying in the budget (I'm the guilty one of dreaming too high ;)). My favorite thing that we've done so far is gone to Raleigh's Southern Bridal Show at the fairgrounds! While it was overwhelming, and we didn't keep the cards of most of the people advertising, we had a blast and got some great ideas. Not to mention found our photographer and won some cool stuff!
The road ahead of us looks/seems long, yet we're cranking down on our business! We have the dress, my mom's possible dress, we've picked out the bridesmaids' dresses and shoes, have our photographers (yes, we have many! Thanks again Rachel and Courtney!), our videographer (thank you Stephen!!), our venues, our engagement pictures (E*Bahr did a beautiful job!), and are currently working on our Save the Dates and caterer. And on the other side of the picture, Cal's parents are trying to figure out the rehearsal dinner! It'll be a blast! Now to figure out that 330 person guest list...the goal is 150-200...eek...
We know people go to a lot of weddings, whether its someone they know really well or not at all, and they can get repetitive. So we're embracing our youth, our personalities, and are trying to plan a really fun experience for everyone involved! Love and thanks to everyone who has already helped/listen to us go on about the plans! You guys are awesome!
