Breathe
It's pretty hard for me to find time to breathe these days. M-W I have class from 8-2:45, and I nanny/tutor 3 (yes, three) families throughout the week. Not to mention I volunteer for the Chancellor's office on weekends/weeknights, volunteer at Hope Community Church on Sundays, and go to a Bible Study Sunday nights. Oh yeah, and laundry, cooking, shopping, gassing my car, and doing homework somewhere in between. And sometimes getting to exercise! Oh, how I miss the days where I could run for 1-2 hours...
Did I forget to mention I'm also planning a wedding? Oh yeah. That. Meanwhile, in my spare time, I've been perusing Craig's List (we got a kitchen/dining room table and chairs for a steal) and Pinterest in preparation for setting up our little love nest!
I'll try to keep up the blog, telling the adventures of being engaged, a pre-service (aka intern) teacher, and a nanny and part-time couponer all at once.
Weekends are definitely my favorite right now - since home football games haven't started, Cal and I have been enjoying our Saturdays by going to the gym, going on dates, and watching Breaking Bad. Maybe even visiting one of our families and getting to eat dinner with them! Thankfully, while Cal is really busy with homework and projects, his professors have told his classes this is the first semester they're not trying to make the students fail. Finally. That boy deserves a break! He has his FE exam (to certify him as an engineer) in October, and graduates in May!! I'm so excited for him!
8 months and 9 days to go people - are you feeling the heat?!
