Full
Despite living in a small, one-bedroom apartment, it doesn't feel full with the two of us. We fit perfectly, and it has molded into our home.
However, as we've discovered, we like it to be full and cozy. Nothing makes me happier than when we have dinner simmering on the stove, a candle or two lit, and guests on their way! In the month and a half we've been married, we've had several people come through our doors whether it's for a weekly TV show, dinner, Kinect, or the pool. Now we just need to get some fold up chairs as our four-chair-dining-table often exceeds its limits, and one or more people are forced to sit on stools!
I'm a full-blown introvert, and while being around people exhausts my soul, it is overjoyed when we've gotten to eat, laugh, and live laugh with people around us. Luckily, our average of 1-2 groups of guests per week has allowed me to keep true to my "one dessert per week" goal!
A few weeks ago I made this yummy coconut and lime cheesecake (recipe here - from Pinterest)
Cal made this yummy peach cobbler dessert for a fourth of July party (recipe). Since we are married and "one" and all, I count this towards my goal :)
And for this week we decided to go the healthy route and make a yummy granola!
Needless to say, with us trying all of these dessert and dinner recipes, we look forward to a lot of food in our house...and we prefer it when people join us in eating it!
I am SO excited to have gotten Bread and Wine by Shauna Niequist in the mail, and I am sure it will make me even more eager to have laughter around our cozy-little table.
