A Few Recipes

This weekend, as Cal slept in, still recovering from the sickness that he somehow caught (oh...I'm sorry, was that my fault?), I attempted to make blueberry muffins. It turns out it was just an attempt as these flat, slightly burnt, muffin like concoctions came out of the oven...

I don't know where I went wrong (besides adding a teensy bit too much in the muffin pan), but you can attempt the recipe here.

The Foshees love Mexican food. We both inherited this deep infatuation love from our parents/upbringing. I'm from Texas, so does any other food really exist? Ididn'tthinkso.

I found this simple and delicious recipe on Pinterest. It was one of those pins that had partial directions in the description and no website attached, so there's no one to point credit to, except the joyous wonders of having a Pinterest account.

Ingredients:
6 chicken breasts
1 jar of salsa (I usually go with a 16oz jar)
1 envelope of taco seasoning

Directions:
Put chicken in crock pot
Pour salsa and taco seasoning in and mix
6 hours on high or 8 hours on low (I suggest 6 hours so the chicken is less likely to dry out)

...and voila! The chicken will fall apart easily and be just enough spicy to make your mouth water. Put some of those bad boys in a tortilla and you've got yourself a taco!

We love this recipe so much we may (or may not) make it once every week or so...oftentimes when we have guests. It's just so good, easy, and cheap! And if you have a small family like ourselves, it provides many leftovers!

Bon appetit! (Or whatever the Spanish translation is).
