Oops!

Wow, sorry it's been awhile since I last wrote. Don't you worry, I finished the half-marathon (mostly) alive! And I had a great time doing it! Running it really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be...until mile 10 that is :) Don't get me wrong - you should train for a marathon, because afterwards and over the next few days your body will be hit with unimaginable weirdness, and if you don't train, it will be horrible! I was pretty faint Monday and Tuesday after, had weird digestive issues, and was just plain ol' sore. But it was worth it. Oh so worth it! I can't wait til next year...but perhaps then I'll run the "easy" halfsie - the Tobacco Trail Road one - which I heard has much less hills. Sounds good to me!

The past few days, my family's been in NYC. When one of us graduates from high school, we get to pick anywhere (well, within reason!) we want to have a family vacay, and Sam chose New York. Blech. Now that I have been there twice, I can say this with power - I am not a fan of New York. It's just so stressful and busy and crowded and unclean...*shiver!* Now, these are personal issues, because everyone I know loves New York, but I guess it's just not my style! I'll probably go there in the years to come, but I know I will not take my future kids because of the pure stress of it! Just looking at people (fast) walking and looking at the street stresses my poor little heart out. I'm a slow-moving smell-the-roses type of gal...give me London anyday! :)

All in all, the last few weeks have been pretty good. Cal and I went to see Titanic last night, and we're going to a Titanic-themed party Friday! Woo-hoo! I'll be pretty busy in the next 3 weeks (then claes are OVER) because I have around 6 papers to write, 3 stories to edit, a few interviews, and an insane amount of meetings and events to attend! Catch ya on the flip-side...
