Back To Normal
The first week of classes and work is (almost) done. I've had 3 Fiction classes, 1 Child Development class (in which I received an iPad for the semester - WOOHOO! Ok it's not that life changing or impressive to me.), been to 1 Intro to Elementary Ed class (and am relieved that I will love it and I will love being a teacher!), dropped a class (American Lit was too mug on top of everything else), ran (almost) 16 miles...the week's not over yet!, and been to work 4 times. My programs and RA meetings are planned, and I've pretty much booked my next 4 weekends (although most of it is fun!). Ahh. Back to my normal, busy busy life. It feels good, yet I've missed my dog and my brothers a lot!
I think I'm going to like this semester. I'm going to get a lot of field experience and observations in, learn to write, and build upon relationships. I'm not going to lie though...I kind of want this semester to go by fast! I'm really excited for the NEW JOB I have this summer (that's a whole other blog post!) and to hopefully move into an apartment with 3 friends (we're visiting it today!!!). Oh, not to mention the whole teaching thing next year. :)
I got an email from my parental yesterday with the subject being "can we come home early??" and so I thought they were just saying they want to because they miss their beautiful, perfect children so much (ha). But no! We thought their flight was coming in at 11pm Saturday but SURPRISE it's tonight!! Woohoo! So we get to see them a day earlier which I'm stoked about. And not just because I need our addresses from the past 10 years for all my school background checks. It'll be nice being able to text them random questions/announcements throughout the day again while I'm at school!
Have a wonderful, warm, unwindy weekend!
