One Month
Talk about time FLYING. BY. I am not okay with it but at the same time I can't wait to see you grow and get to know you better!
Personality
From what we can tell, you are a sweetheart already. Except for when you get too tired or too hungry and are SUPER angry with us. You were very sleepy the first 3 weeks, but you have begun to wake up a bit! The problem is you don't know what you want when you're awake. You mostly want to be held, then you get confused whether you should eat or just hang out. We are trying to set you down a few minutes at a time each day because with your dad going back to work and your brother running around, mama needs her hands! You are beginning to coo and smile at us! You look towards the light or sky, the cats, as well as to fans (on or off) -- following nin your brothers footsteps. You love to be worn in the wrap, but that induces a LONG nap. You're super fussy every night around 7:30-8:30, we're thinking this may be your witching hour.
Night time sleep is pretty unpredictable for us, although you may be beginning to fall into a pattern. You nurse and go down around 9, then wake up anywhere from 11-12:30 to nurse again. You've been feeling asleep until 1:30/2:30 (bad nights you stay awake during that time) when daddy gives you a bottle. Then you're back down until 4:30/5:30. After that you want to be held until morning! I usually am up from that point on, but sometimes I give you to daddy around 6 so I can catch a little more sleep.
Other fun things: your brother LOVES to hold you. You...not so much! You have what I like to call a "tooty booty" as you are very gassy, ha! Yet ... You are yet to spit up! Jericho wasn't a big spitter-upper, but we always had to be prepared.
Stats
You have outgrown newborn clothes and wearing 0-3 month already, mostly due to your length!
Weight: 11lbs 1oz (80th percentile)
Length: 22.5 inches (89th percentile)
Head circumference: 39.2cm (95th percentile)
The doctor said you have amazing head control for your age! You also have a tongue tie, but since you're eating well, gaining weight, and have good movement, we don't have to get it clipped! Yay! We hope this won't affect your speech later on, but the doctor predicts it won't.
Firsts
Everything?!? Ha! That comes with being new to this world I suppose! This month you have...
- Met your: Nonna & Pops, Mae Mae & Bish, Uncle Jack, Tante Rox & Uncle David, and several friends from inside our glass door looking out on the porch! That technically includes Auntie Deanna & Auntie Erin, they are so very eager to meet and hold you. Unfortunately everyone so far has still had to wear a mask and avoid kissing your sweet head due to Coronavirus.
- Gave us your first smile and coos
- Being held (pushed?) by Jericho
We love you SO MUCH little Bos (Bozzy Wozzy is what I call you for now but I'm not sure that will stick, ha!). Your head smells so sweet and I wish I could bottle up that scent and your snuggles on my chest. They are the BEST!
