Personality

I think you get sweeter and cuddlier every day!! You have no desire to chase after Jericho, you are as content as could be hanging out on your back and tummy (though you prefer your back). Who needs to roll? You're usually best at playing in the first hour or so after a nap, then you like to be held!

When you're tired, you're super giggly, which is precious. 

You don't love oatmeal/peanut powder combo! But we have to expose you to peanuts somehow since you still REFUSE to take a bottle, even if I'm out of the house.

You smile at every stranger, mask or no mask!

Firsts

The day you turned 4 months we headed to the beach for am amazing family vacation! You loved all the people and snuggles you got!

You (finally) met Uncle Sam!! It is so very sweet that you have now met all your aunts and uncles ♥️ Lucky for us he's spending over a month here so we are getting lots of time with him!

Facing forward in your stroller! You love this position way more than riding in your car seat. You love to look at the world!

You learned to put yourself to sleep!!! Oh my goodness, getting ready to sleep train was a crazy ride. The first night was AWFUL. We planned on having Jericho spend the weekend at Mae Mae and Bish's house so your screaming wouldn't wake him up. But in the two weeks leading up, your sleep became even more erratic and you began to believe that 4am was an acceptable wake up time! So daddy drove you around town for an hour or two so mama (and you!) could get some sleep. But that was not a good habit, and not healthy for daddy, so we began sleep training a week early (a mix of Ferber method + Taking Cara Babies). Like I said, the first night was terrible. Daddy sat up for the 10pm-2am shift, and I had the 2am (to feed you)-6am shift, then I'd catch a quick nap until 8. The second night you improved DRASTICALLY and by night 3 you were essentially sleeping until I'd wake you to feed you around 2 and then you'd sleep until 6. Hallelujah! I've never felt more rested. I will NEVER take sleep for granted again!!

We had to have a follow up ultrasound on your kidneys and they've made no improvement. As long as you don't get any UTIs, we will have another ultrasound to check on them around 11 months.

We are just thrilled to pieces that you're our boy, and I'll be honest, the world looks a bit brighter now that you're sleeping through the night!!
