You've been with us for half a year already! I feel like I hardly know you, yet I've had you in my heart forever.

Personality

One of your favorite games is grabbing a burp cloth/bib, throwing it over your face, and squealing as you get it off. You can entertain yourself for awhile with this game!!

You are loving your kitties. Sometimes you squeal with excitement when they're near, but you usually watch carefully as they walk around and sniff you. Heisenberg has been very patient when you grab ahold of his fur - in fact, he seeks pets from you! Jessie comes to you when you're still, and backs away when you move. She seems to like you, though!

You love to laugh! And we love making you laugh. Silly noises, stuffed animals "kissing" you, mama or daddy tickling you, surprise faces, getting to pet the kitties or Ziggy are all of your favorites.

We think you might get nightmares. Sometimes after we put you down to nap or to sleep for the night you wake up screaming and are unconsolable for 5 or 10 minutes. We looked it up and babies can have bad dreams, which makes my mama heart so sad!

You love to sit between our legs and reach for toys on your own. We are trying to teach you to balance, but you haven't quite got it yet. Must be all those rolls!

You really should be rolling, balancing while sitting, and keeping better control of your head, but according to our doctor your weight is delaying your gross motor skills. Some days we worry you'll never roll, then we remember that's silly and one day you will!

Firsts
You've tried some "solid" foods. You weren't a fan of banana mixed with milk, but you love sucking on honey dew melon! You weren't a fan of mum mums or avacado, either. Overall you seem to like the idea of food versus actually eating it.

You've begun to be able to sit up in your high chair. Some days you love it, some days you don't.

As we reach this milestone I can't help but think how quickly our time with you as our child is going to go. I pray for time to stand still, yet I also can't wait to see the boy and man you'll one day be.
