Month 2

The night before you turned 2 months I cried because you had gotten so big! Your daddy and I can't believe where the time has gone. Your Grammy reminded me that every stage you leave might have me a little sad, but I will love what you learn to do next! We can't wait to get to know who you are as you go through each milestone.
Personality
You are by far the happiest in the morning. When I come over to the Rock and Play and tell you good morning, your face lights up! Immediately following that is your favorite times of every day - getting your diaper changed! You LOVE to be naked. When you're sad or mad and we're not quite sure why, all we have to do is take your clothes off and you smile and coo away!
In this last month you've really become alert and love to look at your surroundings, especially on walks. You've got a serious face like your daddy when you're thinking or taking new information in, so people think you look a little grumpy! We know it's just your brain moving a mile a minute though.
You've become very fussy at night (especially between 6-8), and when Daddy gets home from work you listen intently as he sings you The Muffin Man Song. I'm cracking up over in the corner because in true daddy fashion he's made up his own lyrics. You love listening to him sing that to you! Another thing that immediately calms your furious yell is us laying you so your stomach is on our arms and flying you around. Grammy and Gramps used to do that to me, and they say it helps put pressure on your gassy tummy!
If neither of those things works, we try getting you naked. If that doesn't work you just yell and yell until we swaddle you and get you to bed! Evenings are not your finest hours 藍
The one thing you CANNOT stand is your paci. Anytime we put it in your mouth you get the most offended look on your face, try your hardest to spit it out, and proceed to loudly tell us you can't believe we thought we could trick you into not eating.
For now you just tolerate bath time (as long as you have a full belly). You don't smile and coo, but you also don't cry. You just give little protests every few minutes.
Stats
Weight: 13lbs and a half ounce
Height: 23 inches
Head circumference: 41cm (94th percentile)
Eating
This is still your absolute most favorite thing in the world! We've finally moved past the "if I'm awake I must eat" stage, but you'd still rather if you were eating about 80% of the time.
The websites say "don't feed your baby and let him sleep tight afterwards." OF COURSE that means that's exactly what you do. Believe me, I've tried to get you to sleep any other way, and that has led to many napless days! When you wake up, you also eat. In fact, you wake up very grumpy because you think we've tricked you into not eating! I promise we don't 
Sleeping
Overall you sleep really well in the swaddle. I love taking you out of it because your arms and legs shoot out in different directions and you give the biggest stretch!! It is SO cute, especially when you're smiling!
You're usually down a little after 8 and sleep until 2:30 (4 if we're lucky!!). On weekdays your dad gets up to change your diaper and bring you to me for your first feeding. Unfortunately after that you love to be up every hour (sometimes more!). You're never awake in the sense that you want to play, though. You understand it's just eating and sleeping, although sometimes you want extra cuddles!
On the weekends or if he's planning on working from home your daddy takes you downstairs for a bottle feed at some point in the night. I love this time!! 
Firsts
- Christmas - We sent to Grammy and Gramps house first (Nana and Papa were there to celebrate!), then on to Nonnie and Pops'. I wore you all day to try to keep you from being overwhelmed, so you napped pretty much the whole time!
- Church service - Technically your first time at Crosspointe was on Christmas Eve, then a few weeks later you went to a regular service. You tend to last about 45 minutes so far, so we sneak in just after the music has finished!
- You've been sleeping for about 6 hours most nights before needing to eat. Sometimes even close to 7!
- I started putting you in your crib to nap each morning and afternoon. It's touch and go, but so far you seem to take after your mama in looking a routine.
- I drove you for the first time! We went to White Oak Coffee and Grammy and I figured out how to use your stroller. Then the next day I took you to Target all by myself! It may sound silly, but trying to find and unfold your stroller in the parking lot for the first time had me a little worried. You slept the whole trip!
- You have really started to react to people you recognize. You talk back to us especially when we mimic the sounds you make! Your item little precious language.
- You smile at us when we go to pick you up from your Rock and Play or the crib
- It snowed 2 times in January! We didn't get pictures the first time around, but we did the second
- You had your first (maybe last?!) ultrasound. Since you were a breech baby with your feet by your face, they have to check to make sure your hips developed properly. You gave us a good scare, mostly because we were worried about what the fix would be and how much $$$ we'd have to drop!
Speaking of money, we finally got the final (we hope!) hospital bill. Who knew it cost so much money to have a baby? 😜
We'd do it all again for you, bud. Now let's get your clogged tear duct fixed so we don't have to face that surgery when you're one 😉
