December

December is one of my favorite yet busiest times of the year. Yet it's the first month I'm posting in since September...whoops :)

I apologize for the lack of posts - I've had many inspirations and ideas on what to write about, yet I've found myself either too busy or nervous that I may share too much about my host school and classroom that I was in this semester. All I will say online is that I had an amazing, shocking, bring-me-down-to-reality, yet learning-filled semester. I have never felt so much pressure and stress, but I now feel comfortable in the commitment I am taking when I accept my first teaching job. Friends, it is no simple task. I knew and have said that before this year, but the past 3 months have truly changed my view and expectations on teaching. It is not as dreamy as I once envisioned, yet it is still something I long to do.

After tomorrow, presentations, papers, and projects will be finished until January. Yet my busiest month is still ahead - thankfully it is things I will love doing! Birthdays (6 -I think - in my immediate and soon-to-be immediate family alone!), jobs (finishing one nannying job, continuing 2 more as well as returning to SAS for a week), possible trips (either skiing or Nashville may be in the mix!), lunches/dinners, meetings, girls group, doctor's appointments, marriage counseling, wedding planning, and Christmas are all ahead! So, nothing is too strenuous and I love it all - but I have a feeling that my introverted-self may need to take a time out here and there.

I will try and update about what's going through my brain every once in while...but until then I'm going to just finish my final presentation (the final exam for 3 classes...oy vey!), take a deep breath, and welcome December with a nap or two!

And by the way, if you see Cal the next few days, wish him a big happy birthday and remind him how old he is ;) Love you babe! Embrace 22!
