Spring Break!!
I always have the hardest time to figure out what to blog after such a heavy, intense post. So I figure I'll go for something light and fun - spring break is coming!! I am so.so.so. excited! I have several different "little" plans for relaxing and I can't wait for this week (papers, papers, and tests) to end.
On Friday, Cal, his parents, Erin (his sister) and I are going up (down? sideways?) to the mountains to visit his paternal grandparents!! I am really excited beyond words for this, for a few reasons. 1. I love his family. They are like my own and over the past (almost) 3 years I've really grown much closer to all of them - including his grandparents :O) Plus they're fun vacationers! 2. I love the mountains. Enough said! Maybe even more than the beach? And...3. We've (Cal and I) talked about possibly visiting his grandparents on many occasions, but have never gotten around to it. I can't wait to see the beauty that they get to live in every day!! I think we're going hiking and maybe even shooting guns (my aim is terrible - so animals don't need to fear me)!
Then, on Wednesday I get to hang out with one of my dearest and closest friends who I haven't seen since...well, I guess it was a few weeks ago, but we were with boys so that didn't count :) We haven't had "girl time" since New Year's Eve!! Sheesh, we need to get our acts together Emily (and Kelly, too!).
On Thursday, I am so thankful to be observing in a Durham high school class - one of the girls (ladies?) at my church teaches there and is letting me watch her teach English! I'm in school for Elementary Education, but I'm still stoked to see a different kind of classroom in a different county!
And I think on Friday or Saturday I get to possibly see some NY/newly VA relatives when they come down to visit my cousin and his cute wife who just moved here from San Diego! Talk about culture shock! We are so not as cool as California...
Anyways, I hope that despite this rainy, dreary afternoon you had a wonderful Monday! And if you're an N.C. State/Wake Tech student...only 4 more days until break!!! Woo-hoo!
