Remember B4C...?

Some of you who knew me around 2-3 years ago knew I tried to make a non-profit organization...Bibles for China. Yeah, well that plan failed. However, God still used the small group of people involved, and we raised $229. So...what does that mean? Is that considered a lot? What does it go to? Don't hold your breath any longer...I have your answers!

Basically, I learned over my freshman/sophomore years of high-school about Christianity in China through a mission trip to Peru and by my own research. The nation with the most population is...China. The nation with the most Christians is...China. The nation with the most persecution of Christians is...China. The nation that needs Bibles...China. Christianity is rapidly expanding underground in China as it has for many, many years. The way "missionaries" do this? By handing out Bibles...secretly. I researched and researched, and I found this website: www.biblesforrussia.org/china.htm (don't worry...I had my dad check the validity of them!). Look on it for more statistics...it's astounding. It's a family organization and I've emailed back and forth with the father of the family for a little while (aka the "head"). I explained to him what I was attempting to do, and he sent encouraging emails.

I found out my junior year that we had to do a graduation/research project, so I decided to focus on Christianity's illegality in China. I wrote the research paper, and it really helped me through understanding everything about it. The graduation project was cancelled, so that's as far as I got. But, I spoke in Turningpointe (the high-school group at church), to several friends, and got the word out on facebook that I was raising money to send Bibles to China. I also sold bracelets that said "Pray for China" on it, and raised $229. Why am I writing about it now? Because I just officially donated it to the McCroskey's like 2 minutes ago. It may not sound like a lot, but that is 229 Bibles. 229 more possible Christians. Isn't that cool?! Isn't God just awesome?? Yeah, I thought so :)
